School History
Pacific View Charter School 2.0 (PVCS 2.0) is a small Charter School sponsored by Eureka City Schools.
PVCS 2.0 has two non-classroom-based independent study programs. One a K-6th grade program is located at 115 Henderson Street in Eureka. This site has a Principal, 4 Teachers, a Resource Teacher, a Librarian, and a Music Teacher. Students can attend learning labs Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 2:00. The site contracts with the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods for an after-school care program.
The second site is a 7th -12th grade program located at 2937 Moore Avenue. The 7th and 8th grade program is limited to Independent Study. Students work off campus and meet with the teacher once a week. The 9th through 12th grade program has a Vice Principal, 4 Teachers and a Resource Teacher. Students can attend learning labs Monday through Thursday from 8:25 to 11:45 a.m.
Both sites maintain small class sizes and offer a personalized educational experience. PVCS 2.0 teaches students to be independent learners and take responsibility for their education.
